We would like to invite you to join us for the fifth 2020-21 year meeting of the East Asian Studies Workshop, sponsored by the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures. This event will be the second of the EALC Alumni Panel Series, organized to strengthen the ties within the EALC community and to inform current students about the possible career paths in- and outside academia. We encourage all current graduate students to attend and learn about the different experiences of our alumni!  
 
Panel #2: Academic Careers will take place on February 26th, 4:30-6pm (Pacific Time) via Zoom. Please RSVP to receive the Zoom link. We will have the pleasure to welcome four panelists (in alphabetical order of last names):
 
Liana Chen 
 
Liana Chen graduated from Stanford with a Ph.D. in Chinese Literature in 2009. She is currently an assistant professor and director of the Taiwan Education and Research Program (TERP) at George Washington University.
 
Aragorn Quinn
 
Aragorn Quinn graduated from Stanford with a Ph.D. in Japanese Literature in 2015. He is currently an assistant professor at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
 
Roberta Strippoli
 
Roberta Strippoli graduated from Stanford with a Ph.D. in Japanese Literature in 2006. She is currently an associate professor at Binghamton University (SUNY).
 
Chenshu Zhou
 
Chenshu Zhou graduated from Stanford with a Ph.D. in Chinese Literature in 2016. She is currently an assistant professor at University of Pennsylvania.
 
Stanford graduate students who actively participate in the workshop will receive a $10 amazon gift card.
