Heidi Zhou Fund for East Asian Languages & Cultures Undergraduate Students

Thanks to the generosity of Stanford alumna Heidi Zhou, the Heidi Zhou Fund (HZF) for East Asian Languages and Cultures has recently been established to support Chinese language studies in the Department. The Department has decided to use it to provide summer Chinese language scholarships (up to $12,000 per student) to East Asian majors and minors in Chinese studies for summer 2018. If you want to utilize this fund to enhance yoru language skills, please email a simple application with your plan, budget, two references, and an unofficial transcript. Note: your references will be contacted, but you don't need to ask them for a letter of recommendation. Your plans and budget do not need to be longer than two pages.

Please semd yoru HZF proposal to Ai Tran (aitran [at] stanford.edu (aitran[at]stanford[dot]edu)) at the Department office before April 15, 2018. Scholarships will be given on the basis of first come, first serve until funding is depleted. If you want to find out more information about this fund, please contact Ai Tran or Professor Chaofen Sun (cfsun [at] stanford.edu (cfsun[at]stanford[dot]edu)).
