East Asian Studies Workshop: Dissertation Workshop

The East Asian Studies Workshop will be featuring two presenters:

Hajin Jun, “Protestant Rites: Conversion, Identity, and Community Formation in Korea at the Turn of the Twentieth-Century”

Xiao Rao, “Is There a Buddhist Sense of Humor: Laughter and Chan Encounter Dialogues in Northern Song China (960-1127).”

Everyone attending will be expected to have read the pre-circulated draft so that we can devote a full hour of discussion and suggestions to each paper.
