In this round-table event, Associate Director of the Hume Center Tesla Schaeffer will lead an overview of writing assistance resources, describe fellowships and grants commonly awarded to Stanford graduate students for conducting research in East Asian Studies, provide examples of successful application essays, and explain best practices for approaching application writing. Elise Huerta, PhD Candidate in Chinese Literature, will share her experience applying to predoctoral fellowships as a student in the East Asian Languages & Cultures field.
